Second lesson!

On Monday, 15 February, George and I went flying! My second lesson came first. We flew Piper PA 28D registration G-OOFT. George sat in the back and took photographs and a few videos. Keith made me fly manoeuvres focused on the effect of airspeed; compensating for speed differentials with rudder and control column input. I landed (see George's video!) and then it was George's turn! My next lesson is about controlled climbing and descents.

George did his first takeoff and flew around Borehamwood, Elstree and over Epping Forest. Brilliant! He will always be able to say that the flew an aeroplane before he drove a car!

The weather was pretty grotty. I tootled around at 1,900-2,000 ft but George got up to 2,3000 ft before the lowering cloud cover made us descend and land.
